Consent comes first
An optional screening request must have explicit, recorded consent before any provider receives it. Provider selection, required disclosures, permissible use, dispute mechanisms, and applicable legal obligations must be reviewed before activation.
A badge means only what happened
Background screening completed can appear only after a configured provider returns an authenticated qualifying completion with an expiry. It does not mean cleared, safe, or free of any record. Criminal-history details are never public.
Important limitations
Screening may not identify every record and is not a guarantee of safety. There is no homemade record scraper. Results must not be used for unlawful discrimination. The final provider and policies require specialist legal review.
